If they can shove this engine in the H3 they can shove it in a Colorado. Get to steppin GM! Even better...give it the V8 and then offer the new 5 cyl w/ a stick shift again (already available on the H3). Update the Colorado so it lookes like all the new Chevys (same front end as an Avalanche plz?) and I'll be the first one in line to buy one.

I guess its an Alpha because its the best they have of the H3 but its not an Alpha to me until it has a diesel and a rag top. If they did that that'll be an Alpha. Hope Santa's listening even better Mr. Hummer man.

Don't hold your breath and remember the words of edmunds - inconsistent build quality. Assume autoblog is followed and the story of Isuzu leaving this market because the trailblazer is orphaned (what a waste of an inline six cylinder) and nothing new for colorado/canyon coming. Assuming autoblog is followed your (and jeepheep) diesel may be from ohio by way of india. Will take a good look at their four cylinder, even though i hate counter rotating balance shafts. If like the ford who's regular cab has a little room behind the seat, ~ two hundred inches in total length to fit in the garage(meeting lots of old timers with s-10's anguishing over gm including rear drum brakes), and good build - who knows, another diesel even though dcx and the crd destroyed a dream long held..
