Fair and accurate review by 2008ttguy

I test drove the TT 3.2 Roadster (although my bank account bought the 2.0 T) and I think the review is a very accurate and fair. While I did get a laugh over several mentions of the "flat-bottom steering wheel", but then again it is one of my favorite features of the car too!
The difficulty with any TT review is what to compare it with? I think DeRosa did an excellent job by pointing out the TT is not a pure performance car, although in my opinion even here it delivers more than enough to satisfy 99% of the driving public, but where the TT truly outshines the competition is style! Inside and out, the TT is pure elegance and beauty. I think Audi hit the mark perfectly with this combination of style, performance and safety.

My only disagreement - I'll take my TT in Audi racing silver over DeRosa's glossy black.

I too chose the 2.0 liter turbo over the 3.2 6-cyl engine because I knew the
turbo car could be turned into a road-eating monster with just a few upgrades.

Apr chip tuning to stage 2+, Neuspeed cold air intake, high-pressure fuel pump,
3-inch downpipe and twin exhausts did the trick on my turbo. I now take out Infiniti G35-37 coupes and haven't even added an intercooler (coming next) and larger injectors, manifold and turbo yet. I'll be hunting bigger game with these options,
I'm sure, and then will definitely need either Brembo or Alcon upgraded brakes.

All I can say about the acceleration in the turbo now is that it is explosive.
You don't even have to be in sport mode to feel the power. And I have yet, in over 18,000 miles, tried the launch control. Target performance for my turbo will be Cayman S's and then, later on, some earlier model Corvettes, all from a rousing 122 cubic-inch engine.
