My wild guess would be that it isn't going to work on Hyundai. They have different models for different makes of cars. So far, it seems they only have models for Toyota Prius, Honda/Acura and various GM brands.

09 Veracruz is expected to get a USB/Aux input. The USB port plays iPod with 08620-2L000. This cable is the only way to integrate the iPod to the radio on an 09 without nav. No iPod/USB on nav models.

What's the answer to the original question to improve the reception? My reception is also terrible. I had better reception on my 10 year old Mercury and a recent Honda rental put this radio to shame. I've used XM as some of the replies suggest but I still want to get the local news during the breaks on XM but it's hard to do that. Plus, since I've paid over $30k for the Limited AWD, I'd like a radio that works.
The local dealer now tells me it's the inherent design of the Veracruz that is causing the poor reception.
BTW: The FM reception is very good.

I can now confirm that the 09 Veracruz has iPod integration. Again you will need 08620-2L000 for iPod integration. Can't just plug in the iPod to the USB port. The cable will fully integrate the iPod and it doesn't cost much.

Since your post in May, can you let me know how the FM modulator for your ipod is working in your VC? Your post mentioned it stopped working after 5-10 mins. I will probably take the car to an audio expert as I just purchased the car and don't wanna screw up the radio.
