#94 of 103 Re: Removing vent covers

Another poster stated that there are a total of 3 clips that hold the vent covers on, 1 at the top and 1 on each side; pop cover off with a spatula by prying on the sides and top.

on my 07 there were three clips, one on the top, two on the outside of each vent panel. I did not find any clips on the inside (radio side) of the vent panels.I have some photos if you're interested in seeing the panel taken off the dash to access the radio. I found a little plastic dish scraper that's kind of like a rigid spatula without a handle, and it worked great (photos of that item too, and where you can get one).
#96 of 103 GPS Navigation System

I`m looking for a GPS Navigation system (DVD+GPS+TV+Bluetooth+...) for my Veracruz 2008. I`ve found many different products. Anybody has some advice, recommendation? How easy is to update it with Brazilian maps? Also, I need to get a 2 Din dash kit to install it in place of the factory radio system. I`ve found Scosche and Metra dash kits. Any recommendation? In time, I`m writing from Brazil. Sorry any mistake! Thanks!

I'll resurrect an old thread.
I purchased the iSimple Hyundai kit from autotoys.com for a little over $100 and spent 2 hours today installing it. After reading this tread and a few others at other websites I used plastic kitchen knives and a trim removal tool to pull the vent panels off which was a little intimidating at first but eventually I gave it just enough muscle and they popped right off.
It works as advertised and I'm very happy with everything. I drilled a hole in the top of the covered compartment under the audio unit and ran the iPod connection cable through the hole so I can keep the ipod & cable hidden while still accessing them easily.
