I have found a solution to my problem of no iPod integration in my 07 Veracruz. It works great and I installed it myself. I gently pried the two side vent panels off from the top with a nylon pot scraper that is a 2.5" square tool made by Progressive, and it worked fine without tearing up anything. The radio unit comes out with 8 phillips screws and I had a magnet to catch them so nothing dropped inside the dash. isimplesolutions dot com Thanks to all of you who've made suggestions and responded to my earlier posts. randygerdes at gee mail dot com This forum is a great way to get and share information and solutions.

Do you have any pics of the vent panels, or details how you got them off?
I've been trying for a day now, using different plastic tools, with no success.
Thanks!

Another poster stated that there are a total of 3 clips that hold the vent covers on, 1 at the top and 1 on each side; pop cover off with a spatula by prying on the sides and top.

on my 07 there were three clips, one on the top, two on the outside of each vent panel. I did not find any clips on the inside (radio side) of the vent panels.I have some photos if you're interested in seeing the panel taken off the dash to access the radio. I found a little plastic dish scraper that's kind of like a rigid spatula without a handle, and it worked great (photos of that item too, and where you can get one).

I`m looking for a GPS Navigation system (DVD+GPS+TV+Bluetooth+...) for my Veracruz 2008. I`ve found many different products. Anybody has some advice, recommendation? How easy is to update it with Brazilian maps? Also, I need to get a 2 Din dash kit to install it in place of the factory radio system. I`ve found Scosche and Metra dash kits. Any recommendation? In time, I`m writing from Brazil. Sorry any mistake! Thanks!
