Chrysler Voyager Minivan Hood Cable

Had the same issue on my '95 Voyager. For several months, I kept pliars in my car & would pull on the exposed cable below the steering wheel.

It finally became so frayed I couldn't reach it so I had it replaced. Called several places for quotes & the dealer was the least, imagine that. Cost was about $130 & it just like it was new.

Hello,

Since my post, I've already had the problem fixed. What I did was go to a body shop, and what they did is take apart the plastic paneling just under the wiper blades and unbolt the hood from the hinges. It was a pain, but finally after all of that, they were able to unbolt the latch on the hood section to finally free the hood. All of this took over an hour to take apart.
