Also I do know people who are rich, whatever that means nowadays and they drive all sorts of cars. Most people who have old money do not drive Ferrari's They drive all kinds of cars that do not waste their money. You do need a good job to own a BMW but you do not need to be rich. No one I know bought a BMW because they wanted to show off how much money they have. They bought one because they like the car and love driving it. Same for Lexus and Infiniti owners. If you want to show off that you are rich buy a DUESENBERG and drive that as your daily driver! You'd have to be rich to afford the car never mind maintain it as a daily driver. When you spend $45K or so on a car you should buy what YOU like. If you really like the G35 so much then trade your BMW towards a G37! I'm sure you can afford the $9k difference for such an awesome car. The Infiniti is a good car but it's chasing BMW's tail. When BMW starts chasing the Infiniti's tail. That will be s different story. I suggest that you get a drivers license and then really drive the cars you claim to own. Your perspective might be different. My wife loves BMW and we drove an older 3 series imported from Germany grey market and it's a great car the 335i decimates it! Funny thing is most of the Germans, Austrians and Bavarians here prefer Mercedes over BMW. |

If people buy them, and keep buying them year after year, they are worth the money, is my two cents. I can't see any other explanation for their success because if the cars were a fraud or overpriced the game would have been over by now. (see for example the "new" Ford Thunderbird, Chrysler Crossfire, VW Phaeton, Mercury Marauder, etc -- all cars really not worth the money---all failed and pretty fast, too). Visiting Host |

Replying to: smartkid (Jul 11, 2007 11:54 am) "I was wondering if I should purchase a Volvo XC90 or a Lexus RX350. They are both quite luxurious. The advantage is simplyu that the Lexus is more reliable and that it has 270 horsepower pushing 251 lb torque. Yet, i have a Volvo s60 and i love it. Rides great and no problems since 2002, when i bought it. The Volvo features a turbo and the best crash testing scores i have ever witnessed. Please respond quickly because i need a car for my wife." So, you need a car for your wife |

This "smartkid" isn't too smart... I don't know where you get off saying that the king of turbos does not match up to a naturally aspirated, lagging, and much more inferior car as the G35...honestly, you purchased your BMW, and are unhappy, well there's a first for everything apparently... I'm pretty sure that if you had bought the G35 then every 335i out there would undoubtly race you. That was quite the post you acutally had, but your going to have to try harder to convince me that my 335i coupe is inferior to the G35... Oh! By any chance, have you even opened up your car? |
