Pretty much narrowed down to these 2 vehicles, but would like to hear comments from people who tried either vehicle or just looking for some feedback in general.   I would be comparing a 07 G35x with the premium pack versus a 06 A6 3.2 Quattro with the premium and convenience pack. Might be a little gap in the pricing department, but not much.   From what I've noticed so far,   Pros of the G35x over the A6 3.2 Quattro   +Reliability +Cost (new G35x vs used A6 3.2) +Better depreciation (depreciates less) +More powerful engine (306hp vs 255hp) +Longer powertrain warranty (6yrs vs 4yrs)   Pros of the A6 3.2 Quattro over the G35x   +Quattro handling (lots of snow over here) +Fuel mileage (19/27 compared to 19/25) +Roomier +Confortable +Transmission (6speed vs 5speed)   If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm just looking for a decently fast, reliable, fuel efficient luxury car with all wheel drive and that doesn't depreciate too much, around the 30-40k range, new or used. Replying to: thenatureboy (Jun 28, 2007 7:34 pm) Well, for one, I'd knock Quattro of your Pro list. I think the G35x has much more to offer here. It's RWD when the roads are clear, offering incredible handling, and AWD when you need it. In "Snow Mode", it pushes 50% of it's power to the front wheels, making it great in the snow, so no worries there.   As for mileage, the Audi may get a slight nod, but it's very slight. I'm getting 18 mpg in mixed driving when I play, 21-22 when I behave, and I just had a recent 50 minute drive on the Mass Pike which gave me 27.7 MPG!   Good luck with your decision... but I love my G35x!

Replying to: thenatureboy (Jun 28, 2007 7:34 pm) Those two cars don't compare very well. the Audi is nearly $10K more then the G35. it's considerably more of a car the the infiniti. But what comes with the Audi is mediocre reliability and a very poor resale value. If price isn't an issue I would take the A6 over the G35 as long as the Audi comes with a full warranty. Audi's are also tanks (in a good way) it's bay far the most solid feeling car I've ever been in. it's also a bigger car, so there's more room all around. the audi gives you a solid 25-30MPG in real world driving.   The G35 will give better price, warranty, resale, power, tighter space, <20MPG average. but it's one hell of a fast fun car that the germans can't give you at that price point. To me the G looks nicer from the outside and inside. If you can get a new Audi A6 3.2 Quattro for under $40K with those two packages... I'd be all over that instead of the G.
