Mine is smmmmmooooooth as a formula 1 engine. Torque never stops building. Of the few V-6's I have driven, it is, hands down, the best. Some people are complaining of a stumble at idle, but mine has never demonstrated that fault.
Next year (2008) Cadillac is going to change the FI and there version will produce over 300H-P. Better to compete with the German and Japanese High end Luxo-sport sedans.
Over all, nothing to complain about, just praise, which I pray will be what I am saying after the first 100K miles (end of warrantee).

I'm at about 10K now.
Still getting over 27 highway and 19 town. call it 20 average.
I just got back from a 5 week trip in my motorhome and for the last 4 or 5 days all I could think of was getting home and going for a drive in the XR. I didn't even unload the motorhome before I HAD TO GO TO THE POST OFFICE TO PICK UP OUR MAIL
It was only a mile away but I took the long cut

If the Dodge had the HP and torque of the LY7, I would have had a hard time deciding. Probably still would have gone with the Aura XR because of the paddle shifters.
