Mobad. This is just conversation and it seems logical since the extended cab is the most popular style of Pickup. Now, doesn't that seem reasonable?

I'll vote for 3.0 on diesel displacement for 2009. What do you think?

Certainly no smaller than that. My guess is in the 3.5L range.

Should be interesting. At 3.0 L it would have over 325 ft pounds of torque and maybe 25/30 mpg. I see the R as a light duty/economy truck not a body on frame 9000 lb capacity work truck. They could add maybe 50,000 to annual sales.

3.0 seems more like Honda. They want to continue the economy theme and 3.0 would have more torque than all the small V8 gassers.

I think Honda can increase Ridgeline volume to 100,000 per year within 2 years of the diesel introduction.

I agree. My 4-year Rigeline lease is up in April 2009 and I will definately get another...preferably a diesel.

ps. I live in a small community of about 800 households and there are now three Honda pick ups here.

I think the side grooves give the RL a bit of styling, BUT, what non-ridgeline owners dont realize is, when you buy the optional body side moldings, they fit INTO the grooves, and dont stick just on a flat surface.
