I have a 96 Nissan Pathfinder, lately when I take it out on the highway after about 10-15 minutes I get a a smell that to me smells like axle grease, possibly burning, I recently had a new clutch put into it, would any of the work done on the car possibly cause a seal to break and leak grease onto any of the hot surfaces causing that smell?? Replying to: mission66 (Jun 21, 2007 5:17 pm) I have the same issue with my 1995 xe. After about ten mins it smells like burning grease. For awhile i thought it was oil but after checking the oil level for weeks i noticed no loss of oil so it must be grease because its starting to squeak when i make turns. If you get any replys please share.
