Hello there, I am new to this forum, anf found so many people are very knowledgeable so I signed up and would like to get some help. My Camary 97 110K miles now. Last year, when it made rattle noise, I took it to the dealer and told I needed to replace struts, and mount was cracked. So I replaced all struts along with new mount(life time warranty for struts, and 12 months for mount). Now at front it makes the similar rattle noise. I took back to the dealer's garage, I was told that the front stablization link was damaged. I had an non-TOYOTA mechanic look it at recently. He suspected that strut might not correctly mounted. But dealer mechanic said it was problem of stablization link. Do you think I should replace SBL first and see if this solves the problem? $240 for front pair. Can anyone help what to do now? Thanks very much for your help. Jquao.

Replying to: jquao (May 29, 2007 11:45 pm) I have a 1987 camry which developed front end noise/clunk at about 70k. It turns out that the stabilizer bar lower control arm bushings were worn out. They wear out quit often and have to be replaced. It took care of my problem and maybe yours also. |
