Congratulations, you must be the first here on Edmunds with that particular model. I'm a bit envious.

#9 of 14 I just got my '07 Spec B by fizxman

Traded in my 03 Mazda 6s 5-speed for my Spec B. My boy has enjoyed his Legacy GT for over a year now and convinced me to test drive the Legacy. Wow! This car is just as good at carving corners, but far more sure-footed in every day driving. Acceleration and performance exceed my old '92 Dodge Stealth RT-Turbo, but much more poised and comfortable on the road. I love the understated black and blue suede interior, and wonderful charcoal metallic with the 10-spoke wheels -- Tuxedo cool. James Bond could roll up in this car!
I don't turn heads all the time with my style, but I definitely take their breath away with SpecB performance. I love not being a cop-magnet. (A big "thank you" to all the WRX drivers out there...)
I got a good deal on the '07, too.

Step 1: Drive the car.
Step 2: Gulp hard, write check.
Step 3: Smile every time you turn the key and fire it up!

#10 of 14 subaru legacy GT performance pack by caaron

I have an 07 Legacy GT, and recently had the dealer install the performance pack consisting of new mufflers, air intake and heat shield. The extra power is great. The problem is the air intake makes a terrible grinding noise at moderate acceleration. The noise changes to a more normal sounding one at more heavy acceleration. It is really an awful awful noise. Is this normal? I don't really trust the dealer at this point to tell me the truth, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check if anything is loose, perhaps have someone rev the engine slowly while you're under the hood, searching for the source of noise.

An intake kit often removes a silencer to increase power, so there is some trade-off. Grinding does not sound normal, though.

I'll check it out for you as my friend actually designed it. I may get it for my 05 LGT as well.

That would be great. It adds significant power but the noise is awful. I'm wondering if they installed the intake correctly.
