We could hear the air escaping from the suspension at the rear of the truck for sometime and after a night of sitting on the driveway like many other contiributors it looked like a low rider. The compressor would come on from time to time and was not troublesome. We loaded up the truck for a camping trip recently and the compressor was working overtime and ended up sounding like a harley motorcycle is under one of the front wheel arches and remains like that. The back end still raises and the ride is ok all be it embarassing. My questions are: Is the compressor shot? Are the back end airbags for the suspension independent for each wheel? How long is it OK to drive it like this? Can the compressor be relplaced by a novice (me) I can see it? Do you have to replace the airbags? Anyone have any idea how much would it cost to have the compressor replaced along with the airbag (a delership or a shop like midas) Thank you in advance to anyone who can help with information |
