Watching the 500 is a family tradition for us. heck, I've even kept score following the race on the radio broadcast while watching on TV. I really like the race on an engineering level as much as I do on a wheel-to-wheel racing level.   One question in my mind this year... Given the attention that Danica Patrick has gotten over the last two years, is she reaching a point where she better win something soon while she still has that attention? I know a lot of winning a 500 mile race is good fortune, but if they sort of over focus on her again this year and she has a so-so showing, the moment may have passed.   I think I'm going with the pole sitter this year as my choice. Castroneves knows his way around the track and has the machine to get the job done... provided the gremlins don't find him!
