We are looking to purchase a new vehicle.. One of the reasons is because my wife's commute is going to increase from 22 miles to 46 miles each way... going on 4 different freeways We are thinking of the Lexus IS250 but considering the Prius also.. due to price and economy. My wife is driving a scion xB right now, it's roomy and gas economy is good but it's not comfortable for a long commute comparing to something like a Lexus. We would like to have leather seats in this car.. the Lexus strikes me as very comfortable and classy. Price wise of course the Lexus costs more and doesn't have the gas milege savings of a Prius. I roughtly worked it at $32k vs $26k for the prius with the leather/nav package to make the comparison. Can anyone who has owned a prius and something like a IS250 comment on comfort, cost of ownership, etc of these two cars. Thanks
