I sure do, steevo. Here you go. Hyundai Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz GLS 2WD with 15,000 miles per year are .00145 and 65%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of an '08 Veracruz GLS AWD are .00160 and 66%. If you were to lease with only 12,000 miles per year, this truck's residual values would be 1% higher. When negotiating your lease, make sure to take advantage of the $1,000 lease cash that Hyundai is currently providing on this model.

Greetings brennerb. $540 per month for a Hyundai . That's nuts. Hyundai is running a special lease program on the Veracruz right now. Let's work up a sample lease payment on a base model just to get an idea of what the payment on one would be like. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz Limited FWD that has an MSRP of $36,445 and a selling price of $33,336 ($500 over dealer invoice minus the $1,000 lease cash) through Hyundai Finance right now for 36 months with 12,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $529. Wow, sure enough, that's pretty close to the payment that you were quoted. Sheesh, that's BMW / Mercedes-Benz territory. Forget about leasing this truck.

Actually, this month's program (expires tomorrow 2/29) isn't bad for a 24-month lease of the Limited ($2,499 down, $439/month) based on an MSRP of $34,745 (incl. Dest.). The best I was quoted so far for 36 months (based on same MSRP) is $455/month with close to $3,200 down. I'll try to get those numbers down.

Advise on leasing Veracuz Limited FWD

To the Host, first of all I thought the information post on this Forum is very good.
I'm in Texas and this is my first time leasing a vehicle so I just try to assemble what information that I need to know before making a decision. I have been looking at the Veracruz Limited FWD and consider leasing this vehicle. I have read the comment post on this forum and kind of getting the idea what information is important (but not everything.)
The vehicle I am looking at is a 2007 Veracuz Limited, MSRP $32305 and saling price $28,000 (the vehicle has 6000 miles on it already). Would it better to lease 2007 or a 2008 model?
The dealer said I can do a lease with just a down payment of 1 month lease. I want to do 24 month lease with 12,000 miles/year. What is the current money factor and Residual Value for the Limited? What is a fair monthly payment for leasing a Veracuz Limited ( assumed 1 month down payment)?

I'm very new to leasing and I am trying to understand the Hyundai lease offer that is currently available for the VeraCruz. According to their website the deals are $299/month for 24 months, $2,200 customer cash down plus $1,000 HMFC origination support, and $2,499 due at lease signing.
So, if I am reading this correctly I must have $4, 699 (+1,000 cash back bonus) at the signing? Also, if I negotiate to reduce the price of the car down from $26,900 (assuming that is the sticker price for the model with the lease special) will that in turn reduce the amount of money I will need to have at signing?

2499 = sum of 2200 (customer cash) plus 299 (first month payment); HMFC contributes 1000 to reduce overall cost - this usually covers the 595 acquisition fee plus another 405 of CCR (cap. cost reduction). Try to get a better price on the vehicle to reduce the initial down payment...It is NEVER smart to put too much down on a lease (any more than 600 out the door is overkill IMO)...good luck

I was also looking at leasing this vehicle. At $540/month, it is more than what I have been offered to lease an Acura MDX base ($510/month - no money down).
