To all,
I just got my Enclave. CXL, AWD, Cocoa Metallic, Luxury Package, Drivers Convenience Package, Entertainment Package #4, Trailering Package, and Dual Moonroof.
It was a dealer demo, with about 800 miles on it. I agreed to $200 over invoice, minus $1000 Conquest Cash Rebate, equals $800 under dealer invoice. I got a SmartLease from GMAC, 39-month lease, with 59% residual.

I wished I could have got one with zero miles on it, but there were absoletely no Enclaves in inventory in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA area, that had the Trailering package. I found a few similarly configured ones withotu the Trailering package, but I wanted the hitch. I could have ordered, but the Conquest rebate was ending, so I took the deal. Dealer was nice (Budd Baer, Washington, PA). They originally offered $1300 over invoice, and 7.7% lease rate. When then came down to $200 over invoice and 7.2% lease rate, I agreed.

We have decided to lease the Enclave and have used the various lease calculators that are on the web. When my husband went to a dealer their numbers were somehow different and higher.
They had no explanation for it. They could not show him why his numbers were different from theirs. We are wondering if they have hidden fees? Has anyone come across this?

I went to a local Buick dealer today and spent 2 hours haggling with the salesman ( who, of course was a very nice guy, but the sales manager was a bleep!!!). After negotiating to buy the Enclave, I the asked about a 3 and 4 year lease and when he came back with an almost $800 a month payment I thanked him and walked out. He said the leases on the Enclaves were really bad and that I was better off buying it. I did that at the next dealer I went to after the next sales manager beat the other price by almost a thousand dollars.
I payed cash for a Cocoa Metallic, Cashmere leather, Luxury Package, Chrome wheels. Sunroof, Ent. pkg #1, and Driver Confidence pkg. The only bad thing is that I have to wait 8 weeks for the car.

If you mean that their "dealer invoice" numbers are higher, that could be the advertising fees. There was about $650 of advertising fees on the actual dealer invoice for my new Enclave, which did not appear as a line item when I looked p proces on edmunds.com.

Hi jragosta1. You never mentioned the selling price or MSRP of the Enclave that you are interested in leasing. These are important numbers for you as a consumer to know for two reasons. First, the selling prices of leased vehicles can be negotiated, just as if you were paying cash for them. Without knowing this truck's selling price in relation to its MSRP you don't know how much of a discount you are getting on it. The second reason is that one needs the selling price and MSRP, including the destination charge, of a vehicle to calculate its lease payment. I would be more than happy to work up a sample lease payment on the Enclave that you are interested in for you if you let me know what these numbers are. I have to warn you though, General Motors' current lease program on this model is not very good.

Hi lwolf99. Try not to let all of the little fees that dealers try to tack onto deals cloud things. Just focus on the big picture, you want to drive off in the Enclave that you are interested in paying the lowest total price. If you comparison shop and go with the dealer that gives you the lowest out-the-door price for the truck that you want, it really doesn't matter how they got there.

I'll pay first payment upfront and security deposit. 18K miles a year for 36 months. Dealer said money factor was 9% and payment was $791 a month. Dealer said the $1000 conquest rebate would be used toward security payment...residual value at 59%
I think a 9% lease rate sucks for a GM car. For that same payment I can lease a 5 series BMW with a navigation system.
What's going on here?

You are getting a crappy deal there. Based on the Edmunds lease site, with your quoted sale price (38415), the $1000 conquest rebate, a 3 year residual at $23817, assuming 5% sales tax, and $576 in title and aquisition costs, your payment should only be $709.08 at 9%. When I was shopping last month, the lease factor was 7.2%, with credit scores of 650 or better. Based on your figures, and a 7.2% money factor, your payment should be $659.16. Take these facts back to that dealer, and tell them that you have found 7.2%, as well as the facts from the Edmunds site. If they will not deal, find another dealer. They are trying to add in profit there, and hide it in the payment. They are trying to cost you another $132 a month, or $4752 over the 36 months of your lease.
