#426 of 491 Purchased a 2011 CXL2 AWD Enclave by klb40

Nov 07, 2010 (8:40 pm)

In late October, I purchased a 2011 Ming Blue CXL2 AWD Enclave in the Washington, DC area that had an MSRP of $51020.

Options/charges included:
Power Sunroof ($1400)
Audio sys w/nav and rear seat DVD ($3185)
Trailering Package ($455)
Hit the Road package ($1110)
Destination Charge ($775)

Incentive/Rebates:
$2000 for Buick Rebate and $750 for being a USAA member for a total rebate of $2750.

Price negotiated on vehicle: $48592
Add documentation fee, taxes, licensing, and other state charges and minus any rebates, out the door price was: $49173.

I’m sure I could have done better if I held out but I got the color interior/exterior I wanted so I was happy. Hope this helps others.

How do you like the sunroof over the 2d row seats? We have two kids that normally occupy the second row. Are you able to keep the 2d row seating area at a comfortable temperature? I have a moonroof in my car and normally pull the shade across it on really hot and/or cold days.

How do you like your Enclave over all? We've had a minivan for 10+ years and would like to move up to a more stylish ride, however, we're not sure we want to give up all the capacity for luggage, groceries and gear.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Jim,
We LOVE the sunroof, and our kids do too. My daughter does complain that the air vent isn't directly above her seat, making it take a bit longer to cool down in the summer time (the vent is forward of her seat a little). But she hasn't said a word about staying warm in the winter months.

As for capacity in the back, we have been very happy with the Enclave. We traded in a Cadillac Escalade (huge back end) for this and feel this has even more room than the Escalade did. How many kids do you have? We have two, and keep the 3rd row folded down most of the time, so there is tons of room (several suitcases, golden retriever, etc). When we have to transport a 3rd kid, we just flip one side up. Very easy.

Good luck and happy holidays!!

Mindy

Just to share my experience:

>Buick Enclave CXL1
>Options:
                1. Trailering System
                2. Chrome

MSRP: $41255
Paid: $35952 + TTL + 36 months 0% APR

Not sure if it's a good price.

#433 of 491 Ordering an Enclave -- can you lease? by tap24

Jan 16, 2011 (6:21 am)

Considering ordering because of specific preferences (CX-L, no sunroof, black interior, Bose audio; also like Ice Blue Metallic color). Do dealers special order for leases or only for purchases? Assume all other things equal -- i.e., need same lease deal as I would get as if buying something on lot. My guess is I could get a better deal by getting something off the lot, but just wondering.

When I leased my '08 in June '07 the dealer did not have the car I wanted. I special ordered mine. It took 12 weeks (at that time) but it was the car I wanted...color and options. The price was the same...whether I bought it from his stock or special ordered it. I guess it depends on the dealer and what he has in stock, for how long he's had it, and how fast or slow business is. It's the old thing, shop around.
