i just fired it up this morning, and cleared the code withe my OBD2 reader, i noticed that when the key is in the on position, right before it powers the ignition, primes the fuel pump, etc. my odometer readings show, but when i turn the key to the fully on position, to start it, they go off/away. im thinking this is tied into the same thing as everything else. am i wrong?? waht do you think?? thank you for taking the time again to help me out, much appreciation. thank you, don Replies to this message: gonogo (Aug 04, 2008 12:02 pm)

Replying to: dstollys (Aug 04, 2008 4:56 pm) I was diagnosing the indicator light problem, it appears to be related to the ignition switch. As far as all your problems, you have to start some where. The switch is located at the key assy, follow the bundle of large wires to locate it. Be careful taking off the top cover with the hazard switch, it is easily broken.

yea my switch broke off awhile age..do you have to take the steering wheel, etc off to get this out, or can you just go through the column itself? and how would you test the ignition to c if its the problem??thanks a ton don Replies to this message: gonogo (Aug 06, 2008 8:33 am)

Replying to: dstollys (Aug 06, 2008 3:02 pm) Look and see what fuses the switch powers. Check for power with the key on run at each fuse with a 12 V test light.

I can find the access door for the oil filter but not the oil drain plug.   Frustrated in Syracuse, John
