i purchased a 2008 limited jan.21 at 500 under invoice.compared it to honda crv, toyota rav4,nissan rogue and saturn vue.it is a nicer looking vechile than those.it is awd and has everything but nav. dvd and third row seat.the interior is alot nicer with the woodgrain and dash.the vue didn't offer a sunroof.the crv only came with a 4 cyl.the rogue was just too small and felt cheap.the rav4 felt smaller and the interior didn't look as nice and didn't care for the tire on the back.this site really helped me with my decision so i hope i can help someone else.

Do you mean "OBD II" ? That's the Onboard Diagnostic system and Auto Zone (and others too) will plug in their handheld reader and offer you the error code(s) if present in hope of selling you a replacement part. No purchase is necessary however.

Can anyone tell me if the 2008 Limited's come with a power passenger seat? Hyundai's USA site doesn't mention it although the Canadian site does.

No, the '08 doesn't have a power passenger seat.

In the states the 2007 Limited with the Ultimate Package included the power front passenger seat.

Having now gone through two taks of gas in mostly to work and around town driving, maybe 30% freeway and rest city streets, I am averaging just slightly more than 20 m.p.g. with the 3.3 V-6. THis is better than I expected, may even get slightly better once the engine is broken in.

I'll have to see what the heat of a Phoenix summer does when the a/c runs all the time, but so far, I'm very pleased.

Dealer also set the locks to engage at 15 mph, was in and out within 15 minutes.

Cargo Cover by rugzy

Can anyone tell me if the 2008 Santa Fe's still have the option of installing a cago cover in the rear compartment? I don't seem to see it as an accessory any more. I am wondering if they did away with the covers and if they did away with the mounts for it in the rear that are normally covered with plastic trim?

The rear cover is now an option. It runs over $200 from my checking. You mount it in the sockets that are plugged currently, and the shade hooks into the built in hooks near the door. I have looked online, but not see any really good pricing for this accessory.
