The sales people at the autoshow this past week did not even know that the 08's weren't in stock yet. They also thought the santa fe had aux mp3 jack. Which we all know they don't. Don't know why they put people in those shows that don't their product.   That being said we still like the santa fe. But wish they knew their own product. Replying to: gunga64 (Nov 19, 2007 5:42 am) I don't know specifically about Orlando, but the people who work most of the auto shows (including the one that I go to in San Francisco) aren't actually employed by the manufacturers they represent and they definitely aren't sales people. The people who work the shows work for outside marketing firms that are contracted by the manufacturers to work the shows. You're correct that they usually know quite little about they vehicles they're trying to represent. They're given small amounts of information that will help them fool most of the showgoers; it's not at all unusual, though, that a showgoer would know more than them about the car they're representing.

Replying to: slateblue (Nov 19, 2007 1:10 pm) They're even showing some with navigation as being in transit. Could it be that navigation is actually available NOW? (It was speculated here that it would not actually be available on Santa Fes until later in the model year.)   There's something strange in their '08 pricing. Some are shown as being priced around $1000 under invoice while others are priced roughly $700 over invoice. I can't see any pattern; the ones whose numbers I looked at are all 2008 Limited AWDs. Some where on hyundaidealer.com is a training video on the Veracruz/SF navi system. Teaches you how to use it. I wish I had access to it.

We were just about to purchase a 2008 Santa Fe Limited and noticed that is the sun roof or window is open a little bit, there is an actual cold air breeze coming thru the door handles on both the Drivers and Passenger sides. When windows are closed it stops. We live on a gravel road and wnat to know if anyone knows if the air coming thru the door handles is filtered air or if it brings in dust? Don't want to make a mistake twice. Also does Hyundai stand behind their vehicles and help or leave you hanging like Honda? We are trading off a Honda 2007 Odyssey because it is the dusties, dirtiest vehicle we have ever owned (even though it has never been driven with any windows open) and Honda will not do anything about it.)
