I am looking at buying a 2009 GMC Acadia FWD SLT-1. I am located in the West Texas Region and the dealer I am doing business with is offering me the "Dealer's Price" of roughly $38,000 with either a total of $2250 in incenctives or 0% financing for 60 months. With $6000 down the monthly payments were calculated at $537. I am a first-time car buyer and am a little skeptical about the price. I feel that because of my age the dealer is trying to stick it to me. Does anyone have an idea of what I should settle to pay for either this vehicle or a SLT-2?

We just left the dealer, bought a SLT2 with all the options except navigation. We were really looking for a SLT1 with the 7 seat configuration and leather, but it is hard to find in our region (so. cal.) We paid $38,500 before rebates. Our rebates added up to $5,250 so $33,250 before taxes and License. I think we did alright, but seeing that we were looking for the SLT1, we still paid more then I wanted. At least the wife is happy.

I'm "this close" to pulling the trigger on an 09 AWD, but my local options are fading, as these the 09s are leaping off the lot with supplier pricing and the 0%/60 months promotion going right now. As such, my dealer doesn't want to budge from the supplier cost price point... Thank you in advance.

I have been looking at the 2009 Acadias. Dealers in my area (SF Bay) are offering them at $500 below invoice w/ 0% APR. It sounds and looks like the 2010 Acadias will be coming out sometime in August. Do you think $500 below invoice is fair? Should I wait for the 2010? |

Just decided to buy an Acadia. We had wanted a Pilot but after driving one, it was too much like a truck. There are no Acadias in our area that we could afford (all SLT's with options we didn't want) so we are driving 100 miles to get one. Worked out a deal on an 09 SLE with remote start, spare, 7 passenger seating and the rear entertainment system for $30380. I also have a private rebate of $750 that I'm going to spring on them so I'll end up with the truck for $29630 + $300 doc fee. I have a 3.9% for 36 month loan so I'm coming out better with the rebates instead of the 0% financing. I just hope the thing holds up - fingers crossed. |
