Plus, the CTS hasn't exactly earned a reputation as the reliability champ, and new ones with the direct-injection engine have an annoying vibration that is designed into the car. I can understand why people would like the CTS, but the bottom line is that every one I've seen on the road - including the new version - is being driven by someone who looks like a traditional Cadillac customer. Which tells me that it is cannibilizing sales from other GM cars - Cadillacs in particular - rather than conquesting them from other brands. Which, at this point, is what GM desperately needs.

Replying to: roadburner (Nov 18, 2008 11:56 am) Typically, this is why GM is flat lining. The 3-series has a legacy the CTS has Cimmaron. Big difference. Caddy means not much anymore. Sad but true. Regards, OW

Replying to: iluvmysephia1 (Nov 18, 2008 1:12 am) You obviously didn't watch the video I posted ???? It says right in their that the domestic automobile industry accounts for 4% of our GDP !!! The bailout is dead. I agree with gagrice on this one. Dead. Done. Cya-Nara. Cya-woudn't want to have ever been ya. Over. And out. As will either your job or your wages will be cut due to a large amount of respiratory therapist from the midwest without jobs because millions of people have lost their jobs and will bankrupt the hospitals up here and not only that they will be willing to do your job for a meal and a shower !!! The ripple effect will destroy this country economically. You think it's bad now in the U.S. let the Big 3 die and watch what millions of desperate people will do !!! rockylee...is it true that Chev really wants $46,995 for the 2010 Chevy Volt? Please tell me that's an Internet misnomer, man. I have read it will cost somewhere between $30-$40K but Uncle Sam, is going to give you a $7500 tax break !!! Nobody said state of the art technology was going to be cheap !!! It will get cheaper like anything else as volume goes up and the R&D expenses have been paid for. I would gladly pay $40K with a $7500 tax break to never have to run conventional gasoline in my car again and support the middle east !!! -Rocky
