Oh crap...if Lane Bryant goes under, I'm sure it'll take the entire fabric industry industry with it.

When are you people going to get this through your heads?

CADILLAC DOES NOT BUILD ANY CARS WITH TACKY GARISH ADD-ON TRASH LIKE CABRIOLET ROOFS, CONTINENTAL KITS OR GOLD TRIM!!!

Maybe not, but their typical customers sure like to dress them up with those types of accessories.
And bring that CTS-V on down. Does it have an "Ask Me About My Grandchildren" bumper sticker on it?

Well, I've seen plenty of tacky accessories on imports too!

Tacky Imports

And, no, I'm not a grandparent nor do I place bumper stickers or tacky accessories on any of my vehicles.

Your 2008 Lancer vs. my 1997 SVT Cobra converitable for pink slips. Your just a punk driving a girls car. Think you can get the title fro your mommy so we can race. I would like to drive the Lancer in our local demo-durby.

Wish you hadn't posted this. I was drinking coffee when I read it. Now I have to clean my keyboard.

It's great to know that GM will always have at least one customer.

lemko: I can immediately see where the CTS is a better car than either of those austere, unreliable, and overpriced cars.

The 3-Series is available in a wider variety of bodystyles, and has an established reputation and pedigree. Plus, the CTS hasn't exactly earned a reputation as the reliability champ, and new ones with the direct-injection engine have an annoying vibration that is designed into the car.

I can understand why people would like the CTS, but the bottom line is that every one I've seen on the road - including the new version - is being driven by someone who looks like a traditional Cadillac customer. Which tells me that it is cannibilizing sales from other GM cars - Cadillacs in particular - rather than conquesting them from other brands. Which, at this point, is what GM desperately needs.

I drove a new 2009 CTS this week and I don't think the CTS will appeal to the traditional Cadillac buyer as the feel of the car is definitely more European than American. It definitely felt different than my DTS and I'm just not talking size. Apparently, I made the right choice by purchasing the DTS as it has the ride to which I am more accustomed in my cars.
