"   Bob, you are right about once the flight is over, your dealings are through, as opposed to buying a car that you will have for several years. One caveat though;   How sure are you that the "bankrupt airline" will do it's pre and post flight inspections as diligently as they would in better times? You don't think there could be pressure by lower to middle management to say "close enough" or "just fill out the forms" so they look good and save money, possibly "saving" their jobs (provided the flight is successful).
