Replying to: dwadlington (Oct 14, 2007 4:23 pm) i would go to your nearest Honda dealer and tell them what is going on.the dealer should realign all four wheels at no cost to you,and replace the rear tires.this is at the very least. print out some of these letters to show your dealer,so they know what is happening elsewhere.keep reporting the trouble, especially any vibration you may be feeling...

Replying to: paisan1 (Oct 15, 2007 8:42 am) Lately I have noticed the front left tire squealing a bit on slow, left hand turns, which is what got me concerned about the tires issue again. Car just got recalled and is approaching the 20k service; I will bring all this up when I take it in. Thanks for the info. Derek |

My wife and I are thinking about getting an 07 or 08 HCH and of course, this issue concerns us. Does anyone have any info as to whether this issue has been resolved on these models? thanks all! Sean

I know that this is a forum for the Civic Hybrid, but I just wanted to let you know that I have a 2006 Civic Coupe EX, and I'm having the same tire issues as the rest of you. In fact there are others as well in the Civic forum. I had contacted my Honda dealership/service about my tire problem before I found this forum, and I got a response today from them that said that their Honda rep would give me 2 tires to replace the rear ones that were bad, but that this was just a "good will" offer because I was a good customer. Now that I've found all of you, I intend to do a little more research before commiting to anything. I wonder what other Honda models are having problems?

interesting...ive been frustrated with the growing road noise at certain speeds with my 07 HCH purchased in April. i also get lots of vibration around 75 mph. plus the car is scarily susceptible to side winds on the highway, with no sense of driving straight whatsoever. i took it to my local tire shop for alignment and the rear was only slightly off, less then .3 degrees i believe, but the rear tires were definitely worn much more on the inside. this at 12K miles. took it on several more road trips, and the alignment didn't help at all, still scary to drive with cross winds. so, now at 13.5K miles, i scrapped the low rolling resistance dunlop factory tires and put dunlop m3 winter tires on (i do a lot of work up north). the car is now very quiet...and now has a sense of center. Fuel mileage has definitely taken a hit, from around 40 combined to 37. i'll be curious how these tires wear, and will definitely be looking for the tsb on the alignment issue...i hope my car doesn't already have the fix as there is an issue with it.
