OEM manufacturers don't add anything they don't have to - even pennies count. The speakers, front and rear, are 6-1/2". They're actually not all that bad, although aftermarket units at or above the $100/pair level should sound better. I would think replacing the FRONTS rather than the rears would give you more bang for the buck, especially if you're adding a sub. |

| As we all know, the most glaring omission in the 07/08 Santa Fe is the lack of an aux input to connect an MP3 or iPod to the radio. This never bothered me because playing CD's in the car was all I needed - but now I'm thinking of getting an MP3 player as an alternative to burning CD's for the car. I'd be interested to hear how those of you with players are connecting them to your Santa Fe. I've investigated several modulators, and none of them seem to get great reviews, even the expensive ones. What has your experience been? Anything decent out there for under 50 bucks? Is there a better way? | |

Wow, $130 plus installation is NOT what I had in mind. I found this: http://www.amazon.com/Scosche-Audio-FM-Modulator-Universal/dp/B0007THIDQ/ref=sr_- 1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1236817600&sr=1-3 ...which seems much more cost effective. I've talked to several folks in the car stereo biz and they seem to think this will work. I plan to order one; I'll report back on the results. $30 is better than $130, no? |
