Paisan, I still think the new Mitsubishi EVO-X will eat the Subie's lunch. Even I think if you and I went head to head the EVO-X would make this ameteur look like a pro, against your Subie, because of the advantages (S-AWC) would give me.

bumpy, yeah they were cool I suppose back in the day but that's like comparing a Model-A to what we have today called WRX-STi & EVO-X.

The Evo and STi have more horsepower and better computer controls , but they're also uglier and a lot heavier.

Well the EVO-X really goes up against the STi. That won't be announced until the fall at the earliest. I've ran with EVOs on the track and a good part of it is driver. The new WRX will be really good I think, haven't had a chance to drive one yet but I no doubt will have one on the track soon.

I still dislike the un-eveness of the EVO platform in general, anytime you have a transverse engine you will have an unbalance in the chassis.

Also once you get into real racing, even on the most basic level, things change quickly.

For instance take our 1994 Subaru Legacy Turbo. We tried to keep it as "stock" as possible but between putting in the cage and the safety requirements, the car has changed to a differnet beast from when it was "stock" even though the driveline including the air filter are stock!

It will be most interesting to see how these cars stack up against each other.

Yeah we'll see if the EVO improved it's interior which was fairly lackluster and cheap feeling, the new WRX interior is positively better than before.

LOL.......We'll see.....

I'm thinking either one of the cars probably are too small for me as a daily driver. I made the mistake rolling about 5 miles per hour through the mistu lot thinking the Galant was the Lancer, because of it's small size
