Opportunity to buy used 07 fit for $10,800. Std, all black, for son who will probably get college paid for via scholarships. 10,000 miles, perfunctory look indicates in great shape, gonna test drive in hour. If car checks out (I have checklists galore and bro-in-law mechanic to look over) does price seem reasonable? South LA so the black does not interest me but son is kinda OCD and will not accept anything else... Waddya think? I just got the call from the dealership that my orange MT sport just arrived. I am paying MSRP plus $670 destination charge plus of course NY state taxes and license and registration fees. I ordered it May 22 and here it is 9 weeks later. I can't believe they charge the west coast more than the east coast when all the FITs come to the west coast from Japan. I already have a new XM radio for it and will be ordering some all weather mats, Dead Pedal and Jazz OEM armrest soon. I am really looking forward to outfitting my fit. Let the fun begin.

He showed photos before and after and even had the parts he had to replace still in the shop. Under blue book $2,700, had it checked out by mechanics and ride is everything everybody describes, so gonna bite. Also, son has promised to do all outside maintenance till he goes to college in one year and that might be worth any possible hassles. Thanks for info. Keep plugging for the MT Fit Sport. I lucked into my silver MT Fit at Bloomington Richfield Honda in Richfield, MN. Stopped by on a Saturday in early April on a lark and they were just taking it off the truck. Brand new and was a transfer from another dealer for a car they traded to them for this Fit MT. Guy said it was not spoken for but you better drive it and buy it before someone else gets a look at it. Bought it that day and absolutely love it. Traded in a 2001 CRV with 120,000 on it. It won't light your hair on fire with speed but it makes up for it in utility. I have been tracking my real world mileage at Fuel Economy.gov and I do mostly city driving with only minimal highway. So far since April I am getting 34 mpg consistently every tank.   Peace
