Not to be too blinkered, but my wifes love is endurance riding (horses) so its all about the truck pulling the trailer - The nightmare is the F450 we just can't have the bloody truck bucking with horses inside under any circumstances, what ever the discipline. So who out there knows the problem but yet can solve the problem or do we just dump the Ford and never look back, take the monster financial hit and move on - So all the readers understand its not what we can financially afford but its a lifestyle that gives great enjoyment to young and old and we must support the sport - Sadly Ford doesn't at this time support or want to get involved to help those that bought their product to have it fail so miserably - Or yet repair without question those trusting enough to support them. Replying to: shellade (Jun 26, 2008 4:11 am) the blend you have to use is a full synthetic and they say every 10,000 miles unless in my case where i haul for a living every 5,000. when they did the last engine repair they wrote the miles on the filter. i was in kansas and already had a appointment at a 24 hour ford truck center for 2 am to have it changed. i was 2 hours from there when it came apart. knowing what i know know i should have had it towed to a express lube drained the oil changed the filter and then had it towed to the dealer.lol you can read alot of these post on here and see ford has a problem and cares nothing about the consumer. hope they go belly up and no one ever buys any prouduct they make. Get a friend who is a lawyer have him or her file the suit, find a person who is good with computers start a website to start collecting signatures, start talking to news papers, go to consumer advocate...every major city a one of these reports. I have A 2008 F-450 4x4 crew cab beautiful, 36,000 miles and a blown engine and the warranty is void because i put water in the cooling system after the egr burnt up and the inter cooler cracked and all the coolant leaked out. anyone else have this problem? I have a great lawyer so i am not worried about ford.
