First they will replace the tank, if that doesn't work they will rip the trunk apart, if that doesn't stop the noise they will rip the back seat out if that doesn't stop the noise I might be able to get a new car. But I don't see that happening because they won't even take the car in to service it now for the noise because they say there is nothing they can do about it until Toyota finds a fix for it. As far as the transmission they have kept the car over the weekend. But I can assure you what the response to my problems will be and that is that they can't duplicate it. Although the service manager told me that there are defective valves that need to be replaced in a lot of the transmissions. I am still trying to get the TV station that I work at to do a story on all the Toyota problems and I next plan to contact the owner of the dealership where I bought the car. So we will see what happens. I want them to buy the car back and give me my money back because I surely do not want any other Toyota at this point.

The demographic for the Camry isn't one that frequents the Internet or Internet chat and forums. I have been reading forums where college students and a more technical bunch frequent, and there have been many reports of common issues. Speaking to Toyota corporate and my dealer indicated that there have been a larger than normal amount of problems with the new model. Best advice is keep taking it back to the dealer and call Toyota. Tell them you want a buyback. If you qualify under your state's lemon law, ask for arbitration. Make sure you keep all documentation and document as a follow up any phone conversations.

Keep the engine at idle regardless of footfeed position if the brakes are applied. Not pointing fingers at anyone here just responding to the number of high mount brake lights on with the car cruising merrily along as I drive to work each day.

I got the 07 LE becaues I needed someting a little quieter on wind and road noise because I listen to a lot of MP-3 and have in the past had to crank it up on the road just to hear the music. So far so good after 2 months and I am very picky. You might say I bought their radio and had to get their car too because it came with the radio. I love the steering controls especially. Good Base - solid MP3. Good Luck!
