I have to correct you on the Porsche as having the worse reliability & evaluations. It is all of the Land Rovers from the LR3 to both Range Rover & Sport versions that has the poorest relability. My Uncle is a consultant at Porsche. In March the company launched the Cayenne in Cabo San Lucas. They invited Porsche techs & sales people nationwide to the launch. The Porsche performed the best in handling, braking, etc. The X5 was rated 2nd in handling to the Porsche, the ML rated the most responsive (power) & the Range rover was the worse. These comments were not only made by my Uncle but by the reps at the 2 Porsche dealers here. They had a test where you'd accelerate hard & slam on the brakes hard & that's where the Range Rover sucked. This is not a one time test/demo. Almost everyone had a chance to either drive or ride on all the cars on the test. The Q7 was there too but no one even bothered or talked about it. All the SUV's tested were the V8 versions. By the way we also know the Land Rovers reliability bec not even one car magazine has failed to mention this brands terrible reliability. There's a car dealer here that has a BMW, Porsche, LR, Volvo dealerships. One thing that the Porsche rep & BMW rep agreed on is that the RR Sport is a great looking SUV & one of the most capable off roader, but it's very unreliable.

The CAyenne handles better than the X5. That's one thing that anyone who'll test these 2 will agree on. The BMW's are given the title of the "ultimate driving machine" & we all agree with that. Most or all of their cars will beat their counterparts from compact to fullsize sedans to SUV's in the handling dept., but Porsches are on a level above the BMW's, MB's, etc. Porsches are compared to Ferraris, Lambos, etc. Read Edmunds review on the previous Cayenne Turbos handling were they commented that the Cayenne's handling #'s even exceeded the previous M3's #'s. That's very impressive condisering the M3's one of BMW's best. Of course the Cayenne Turbo had that adaptive suspension on it but even if it didn't it'll still be probably as good as a Bimmer w/ a sport package.. AS they say "There's no Substitute" for a Porsche.. Tomorrow will probably be the day...Thanks for your input...
