Came across a 2005 Nissan 4x4 Frontier with Super Charger, 17K miles mint condition, super cab, auto, trying to determine market Value? and if this is a wise purchase?? Replying to: twins3950 (Apr 04, 2007 11:54 am) I myself owned a supercharged Frontier I think a yr older than the one your looking at.In my opinion the truck was under powered,horrible fuel mileage,and the use of premium fuel with the way gas is now for what you get is not good.I traded it in on a Titan 4x4 and got better fuel mileage and power.Now back with the 07 Frontier crew cab.Tons more power than the older Frontier.Way better fuel mileage(87 octane).Priced about the same as they were a few yrs ago.

Because of the 261 HP VQ V-6 introduced with the new generation FRontier in '05, Nissan omitted a supercharger option. The only aftermarket supercharger that I'm aware of that fits the '05+ is made by Stillen and it's a good unit from what I read. Just bought an 03 Frontier XE King Cab, 2.4L, automatic, 233,000 miles. Paid $3400 for it. Previous owner was a supervisor's vehicle for Pike Electric Company, so most of the miles are highway miles. Two problems, 1. Check Engine Light related to clogged EGR passages. 2. Bent Vibration Damper with no replacement except $212 from dealer. Anyone have any suggestions to correct these two problems besides going wallet in hand to the nearest dealer? Truck is great, runs great and gets about 24 mpg. Thanks for any consideration or information!!!!

Replying to: maryporras55 (Aug 16, 2009 7:08 pm) Perhaps your reverse switch is bad and it's sometimes shorting. These are cheap and usually easily replaced. Good luck with your fix.
