Long-Term Test: 2008 Mazda CX-9 Touring - Zoom-zoominess abounds in anything Mazda graces with its seagull-inspired badge, and its newest crossover is no exception. The 2008 model year marks the debut of the 3.7-liter DOHC V6 in the CX-9. Power has been increased to 273 horsepower, up from 263 in the 2007 CX-9 with its 3.5-liter V6. Fuel economy has also improved to 17 mpg city/24 mpg highway, a gain of 1 mpg and 2 mpg, respectively. (more)

It includes 6 months (or it did when I got mine in 2006).
 
Factory integrated units are always more expensive - the price you pay for not having a unit and wires sticking off your dash or windshield

In a post script, I discovered that, despite what Sirius tech support told me, the universal receiver DOES NOT work with the "Sirius Ready" tuner in my Forester.
 
In order to add Sirius that works with the factory radio you have to pay the factory $400 top gouge price.
 
So, no new customer for Sirius. I like the idea of satellite radio, but not enough to pay $400 for the hardware on top of the subscription.

28% off of MSRP? Not exactly the way to do this calculation since I have seen discounts for at least $5K advertised for these cars.
