The internet sales person was very easy to deal with, and I thought I would probably go with that car and price. Brad Benson in E Brunswick, seemed to have a low price but could not get anywhere with the internet sales mgr, just wanted me to come in, which I didnt. Circle in Red Bank wanted 27900 OTD for the 2007 GLS FWD, too high. Stopped at Sansones Rt 1 Automall in Woodbridge on the way to work one day, just to get a price before I went with Lester Glen. I was specific about what I wanted, they didnt have it, but they had an 07 SE in the same color. I pretty much told them I wasnt interested in anything they had, I told them I was ready to make a deal with another dealer, just wanted to check their stock and prices, and was ready to leave. They threw a price out of $26500 OTD on the SE, only $70 more than the price on the GLS so I took it. I think you can get good prices with Sansone, but you must know what you want or they will play games with you. After I agreed with the deal, they seemed disappointed that I already had financing in place, so I would not talk financing with them before you stike a deal. I am confident they thought they would make some $$$ on financing me. Too bad. Someone above said they liked Cap One auto finance. Just want to let everyone know, I went through Lending Tree. Cap One and Road Loans sent me a check right away. Chase auto finace called to go over the details, when I told the their rate was higher than Cap One, thet beat it by 1.75% on a 72 month loan and that was without autodraft for the payments, which Cap One requires. I think you get better rates through Lending Tree than going directly to loan sites like Cap One.

Hi All, Just joined the forum, and just bought a Veracruz 2 days ago (9/29/07) in NJ. Bought a 2007 SE AWD only option was floor mats. MSRP: $30,525 Invoice: $28,670 They showed us the holdback of $745 (don't have the papers in front of me) Price: $27,925 (no hold back) - $1,000 Rebate Paid $26,925 + tax + tags + $109 Doc. prep Got $4,800 for the trade (straight book value) Deal at $22,125 + t, t, dp Got everything at book values. How can you get $3800 below invoice? Was there a trade? Customer rebate? Dealer rebate? There must be a reason. No dealer would lose money on a new car. The only idea that makes any sense is the last car sold, at the last minute, on the last day of the month/quarter, and the dealer needed just one more to make a quota. |

Replying to: elvisp (Oct 01, 2007 8:46 pm) $1640 below invoice sounds like a fair deal. What book value did you use for your trade? Thanks

Replying to: elvisp (Oct 01, 2007 8:46 pm) I purchased the same car in FWD last week in NJ for $25096 less the rebate of $1000. I would have gladly paid the extra for AWD though.

Replying to: seloo (Oct 01, 2007 9:36 am) When I signed the rebate form, they also needed a copy of the reg for my Explorer and were concerned it didnt say Explorer on the reg, so I guess they may need proper documentation for Hyundai to get the rebate. |

Tags and title are $133.50. I'll have to get it inspected in PA; that we be approx $25. Anyone have any problems with the CD player? |
