The air intake is in the under the front bumper located 20 inches off the ground any standing water 3 inches off the ground will be forced into the air intake and blow the engine. This vehicle will not travel the same as crown vic, or impalia. This charger traveled the same road with standing water and failed. Chysler will not stand behind the warranty. For not having the market in Police vehciles locked in they sure done care. Brake pads had to be replaced at 16,000 Tires at 18,000 rear pads at 23,000 and the front end ties were loose since it was purchased with 400 miles on it and told nothing was wrong until 15000 when we almost lost the full control. MOVE YOUR AIR INTAKE OR YOU WILL BUY A NEW MOTOR, chysler doesn't care

Be thankful for the Hemi's. The V-6 police package stinks. It handles great, but off the line acelleration stinks. Makes it real hard to quickly and safely clear an intersection and working radar in the moving or stationary mode, forget it! By time you turn around and try to catch up, you're creating more of a hazard than the violator, since it take so long to overtake the violator.

BY NO MEANS IS KNOCKING MY HEMI!!! The charger w/hemi SRT8 is a power house and looks it took (MY TANK), However, it doesn't do any good having this power when Chysler refuses to fix a defect. The defect is no matter how much power or how good the car looks its sad when an Police Impalia and Police crown vit travels the same road and goes through normal standing water and my engine blows. Still under warranty Chrysler refused to pay, knowing who in their right mind would put an intake underneath the vehicle so close to the roadway. You may not have rain like we do, but just a month again a semi on a tow lane road pushed water to another patrol going the opposite way and the vehicle blue its motor also, now how many times have we got sprayed with standing water from a semi in our personal vehcile....many and my motor never blue....I want to foreware departs if they buy the hemi/srt8 get the air intake changed or you'll be out 6,599 for the motor plus labor.
