| It because the air filters get clogged after a while and the amp does not get proper cooling. By the way the owners manuel does not mention anything about the filters. Also replace the filters do not clean them. | |

Regarding the blower motor kit issue discussed immediately above here is a link to the official Nissan TSB which says the blower fan and amp kit must both be installed. (see NTB03-057b, the 6th one down) http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowledgebase.html?catid=241&sort=d&pp=10&page=4

Skinnytony. If you want to spend the money ok. But by my replacing the semiconductor and the filters all total cost $40 , 48000 miles later all is working well.

Replying to: tbostwick (Dec 21, 2008 9:53 am) I've checked the local salvage yards for a replacement amp, but haven't had luck there either. Does anyone known of any other makes/models that use that same part(the whole amp with heat sink)? |
