As I said in a previous post I had to send ISG a copy of my reg. I have herd nothing since. Been about 2 weeks now. I am not even sure that they got the fax. I have proof that it was sent, but did it get to the guy who called me? It is getting frustrating. I want this over and I have no clue about what to buy next. Toyota says it's out of their hands??? That's just great!!! A great attitude!!! I too hate phone tag. I guess I'll start phone calls tomorrow to see if I can get some answers. I am sure ISG is crazy with this mess by now. 800,000 possible trucks?
This will go on for awhile.

Here is what has happened to me so far by nikshedeck

So somebody told me about this recall on my toyota frame. I came home and looked for some info online but found very little. So I wrote a email to the toyota company itself to which they emailed me back and called me the very next day. They told me to go to the local dealership for an inspection and they would call me back in a week or so. I went to the dealership and they told me they had a lot of appointments and were backed up until July...that is until I said I had spoke to the toyota company and they were calling me back in a few days to which they then gave me a appointment for two days later. I went to the appointment today and my truck failed because there were holes in the frame. If there are no holes they will probably pass your vehicle. So make sure there are holes in it. Anyways, they let me drive my truck off of the lot which upset me because I believe it to be unsafe to drive so I called the guy I talked to before at the toyota company and he told me I was to go back to the dealership tomorrow and get a rental car, that I should have never been able to drive away in my truck for safety reasons, He then told me ISG (not ISP) will call me in a week and if they don't to call him back. The guy at the toyota company has been great. I will let you all know how the rest of the process goes and how quickly.

has anyone actually received their buyback chk $ yet? Was their any negotiating done on the final figure$$? How long was the whole process from inspection to $$? What types of rentals is Toyota offering? and for how long? Afterall it is we, the consumers' who have had to turn in our pickups, driving a Corolla rental doesn't seem comparable.. Any thoughts? What about taking the good tires off 1st, etc.....??

This is Toyotas #. I called as I have herd nothing from ISG. They gave me a case # and are supposed to call back tomorrow. The reps at toyota were very helpful.
Give it a try.

Ok Folks it has taken me 2 weeks, but I have CONFIRMED with TOYOTA CORP< 2 local Dealers and ISG (Impartial Services Group, LLC ) who will be the " third party" coordinating the vehicle transfers. 1. ALL Tacoma's will be considered in EXCELLENT Condition. 2. All Tacoma's will valued using KBB RETAIL VALUE 3. MILEAGE IS Considered 4. ONLY Manufacturer options will be considered in the "VALUE", so all the extra tonneau covers, bed liners running boards etc you installed after market, will not be considered to increase the value. 5. ISG (Impartial Services Group, LLC based out of Texas, they have Independent Contractors that work for them, so if your Transfer Rep/liaison seems like an idiot COMPLAIN, they only get paid when they complete an assignment and that assignment is YOU! ) ISG will be the liaison between you and Toyota. ISG will assist in paying off any Liens you may have on your Truck. 6. Once all the paperwork is completed, approx 3-5 days, you should receive an offer letter from Toyota in the mail within 10 days, the offer $$$ is NON NEGOTIABLE, it is what it is! I was told specifically there is no negotiating. 7. If it should take more than 30 days, you may request more time on your "loaner vehicle" at Toyotas expense. 8. The frame must be perforated, meaning have "actual holes". IF it does not Dealers will NOT necessarily give you anything in writing that you " passed the frame rot test". Your VIN will be added into the Toyota data base. I suggest you detail as much as you can when you go for the inspection, names, dates time etc and keep in a safe place, as you will be warranteed 15 years from the day of inspection, and probably will eventually qualify for the buy-back program at some future date.

"as you will be warranteed 15 years from the day of inspection"

The extended warranty is 15 years from the date the truck was put into service, not from the day of inspection.
