Replying to: iomatic (May 10, 2007 1:18 pm) hey io this is the second time i've replied to you! i know they pretty much have more hardcore versions of the parts already in our version of the k20a, hand polished manifolds like the nsx and what not, i suppose the cams and pistons are different, as are the headers and exhaust.

i just re-read the articles again, and it looks like its a larger throttle body and higher compression ratio's....i would imagine that the brit version at least has a higher ratio, given its 1hp advantage over our si and the 3lbs of torque it gains as well. the jdm boasts about 12 more lbs of torque and 24 more hp.

C'mon Honda! Bring the Civic Type R to the US already. We've been waiting since 1998 and now the latest rumor is 2010. At 25K, it would sell like hot cakes and make all our 'dreams' come true. Get with the program Honda!!! fingers crossed but not holding my breath -fAMOuS

I feel like Honda is tormenting us with the JDM spec, all were getting in Saudi Arabia is the stupid European spec with its stupid rear suspension and it’s not as fast as the earlier European spec. if you want to see the difference in the two models go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Duxz0_vfR2E but the JDM Type R is a different story.
