Replying to: bubbagravy (Mar 05, 2007 6:26 pm) I own a 1999 S10 and it rattles very loudly at idle and below 10mph. I found the catalytic converter to be the cause. More specifically, the internals of the converter were "rattling" around inside of it causing the noise.

Replying to: bubbagravy (Mar 05, 2007 6:26 pm) Sometimes the catylitic converter's heat shield becomes loose when the spot welds fail. When this happens it creates a terrible racket.
