FYI, Town Hall is a world-wide forum and there are many posters from outside the U.S.

People who live in the U.S. can't talk about cars from other countries? Or people who live in other countries can't talk about cars in the U.S.??

Let's get back to discussing the Versa long term test and away from discussing each other please.

Is the Versa's time in the long term fleet coming to an end or has it already? We haven't seen a post for it in over 2 months!

"Our Fit depreciated a mere 18 percent by comparison. This is interesting since the Fit has fewer options and a lower MSRP than the Versa, both of which typically increase value."

Installed options and high MSRP do increase car value, but the percentage of that value that you loose when the car is sold used would be the same. In fact one could argue that the cheap stripped down models loose less % of their value as they get older.

The obvious truth is that ANY car under $15K may lack some zest, but based on this long term test the Versa was a stunning success! NO problems or issues at all! Absolutely terrific fuel economy! Can handle tall people and their friends! And it's still worth a pretty good chunk compared to MOST cars in it's class. Sounds like a good choice for many people.

True, but only if you do not count the passenger's side airbag cover popping out on the Edmunds' test Versa.

My 2007 6-speed is going along just fine with no major issues to date. Finally got rid of the OEM tires around the 30,000 mile mark. Mileage has been good, although the introduction of ethanol has given me about a 10% hit in mileage, but that another story for the The Inconvenient Truth About Ethanol discussion.
