Despite the EPA's new decision to make fuel efficiency "more realistic" and relevant to the real World, hybrids are still the most fuel efficient cars despite decreased MPG ratings than what we have previously been used to for models like the Prius and the Civic Hybrid. So just in case you are out shopping, don't forget, the system has been revised! http://blogs.automotive.com/6200839/miscellaneous/intellichoice-looks-at-new-epa- -miles-per-gallon-ratings/index.html

Visit http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg and click on "compare old and new" to get the latest EPA mpg figures for any make and model. And, yes, hybrids are still the best. The Civic hybrid still gets 10 mpg more than the gas-only Civic, no matter how the EPA tests it. |
