I WENT OUT TO WARM THE CAR AND WHEN I LOOKED OUT I SAW WAER DRIPPING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE, IT WAS NOT LIKE IN MASSIVE AMMOUNTS BUT ENOUGH TO LEAVE A LINE OF NOTICEABLE WATER. THE TEMP HERE AT THE TIME WAS 21 DEGREES, BEING A WOMAN, i WAS ALWAYS TOLD THAT WATER LEAKING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE IS A SIGN OF BIG MOTOR PROBLEMS!! PLEASE HELP!! Unless your coolant levels are falling precipitously and your engine is running very hot it's most likely just condensation.   To put it in perspective, the interior surface area of your exhaust pipe is comparable to the surface area of a large windshield. When the temperature falls below freezing, condensation will form a layer of frost inside the exhaust pipe thicker than the layer of frost you might see on your windshield.   When the pipes warm up, the frost layer melts and drips out the back end.   tidester, host

In every street legal vehicle (I believe as of 1976) equipped with a Catalytic Convertor (a section of an exhaust system) will introduce water vapor out of an exhaust pipe, that is as engine pollutants (carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and oxides of nitrogen) passes through a Catalytic Convertor, the catalyst in a converter promotes chemical reactions for the conversion of emission gas (pollutants) to carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and you guessed it, "water".

My wife's yukon with front and rear climate controls won't stop with the heat in the front. Working with the HAYNES repair manual I believe I have found the cause. The "Front temp. door module" controller may have gotten stuck. After pulling it apart and putting it back together the motor controller moves a "little bit", while in hand, while adjusting the temp dial. When it is installed it is not enough to move the door. The door moves freely by hand. What volt readings should I get at the plug or is there a way of testing the controller? Thanks for the help. Oh yea the back blows hot or cool on demand.
