Article comments for First Drive: 2008 BRP Can-Am Spyder Grand Sport Roadster - The Can-Am Spyder is a strange-looking vehicle, and when we had a test ride on the West Coast of Florida just south of the Kennedy Space Center, there were questions. Always questions. (more)

There is another forum that is dedicated solely to the Can-Am Spyder Roadster. Check it out at www.spyderlovers.com Once the spyders start arriving in the customers hands, these forums are realy going to take off ! It won't be long before the market will have numerous aftermarket accessories available for the Spyder. Richard |

| Thanks for the site, that looks awesome! I can't wait until people get their Spyder's, that will be a great site! I bet a lot of orders have been placed recently at the test ride demos in the mid-west! | |
| I am so looking forward to seeing this bike/trike/roadster and plan on purchasing one. As a bewitching blonde that wants to take on the road with something different, this is it! | |

Got an e-mail from Can Am that production had started. The Spyder will start to dealers in early Oct., and delivery will be by dealer allocation. The message went on to say your dealer can tell you where you stand in their allocation. Jack H. |

| Good article and interesting vehicle but, when did they move the Kennedy Space Center to the west coast of Florida? | |

I took a test drive at the 85th Annual Laconia Bike Week in NH yesterday. I had taken my wife (who does not ride) down on father's day and saw the display set up at the Funspot. My wife commented, "now I'd consider riding something like that!" Yesterday I went back and signed up for the 3:00 session. A quick downpour had come through about 15 minutes earlier so roads were wet. Wow - is all I can say. I tried to spin the vehicle out and the electronic assists simply would not let me get out of control. Aftyer telling my wife I had done a test drive and how much fun it was she asked how much does it cost. For me that is the clincher - now I need to find a dealer and get in line to buy mine. Simply an exciting vehicle to drive. I'm a 60 plus man with the normal aging aches and pains and I didn't experience any issues with being uncomfortable. I'd owned a Honda F2 and the riding position forced me to give it up. The Spyder has a similar position, but not uncomfortably so. I'll be buying my Spyder (maybe even two) if my wife likes it after considering it. |
