Bad AC Smell by fgrossm1

I also hod a bad odor from the AC unit. It occurred when you used the AC and then shut it off. It was really bad smelling and i was ready to take it to the dealer but it has gotten a bit better so i may wait and see if it clears up. On a different note has anyone had a problem where the car shifts to high gear forcing you to press the gas down to get the power to come back up? The dealer says they all shift that way.

well the point of the CVT is to try to keep you in the lowest "gear" (ratio) as possible to save fuel. so yes, they all are like that, you'll get used to it

Very Normal. You noticed that you don't have a regular temperature gage. On the NAH, that was replaced with the battery State of Charge meter. Blue indicates that the engine is cold. That is your new temperature gage. You will notice that when you start the car and all the idiot lights come on briefly that both a blue and a red temperature gage are shown. You don't want to see red as that means the engine is over heating.

Got it? Enjoy the car and quiet worrying.

Thanks - Not sure why Nissan wants to remind me that the engine is cold.... I already know that... Every morning... It's cold... and the car is cold....

It's no different than your old gage pointing to cold when you start up.

Any word on the 2009 Altima Hybrid by jsyaruss

Greetings all -- I have noticed that there aren't a lot of 2008 Altima Hybrids left on the lots and I am getting ready to take the plunge. Does anybody have any ideas about when the '09s will be making their appearance? Any changes on the 09s? Will there even BE '09s? (I don't know how close Nissa is to running out their licensing agreement with Toyota.)

Trying to decide whether to act now or to wait another month or two and any thoughts would be much appreciaetd.
