If you are just getting out of the XC90, why not go look at the Ford Taurus X (rebranded Freestyle) and save yourself about $10k. Unless you need the actual towing rating of the Acadia the Ford is a far better value.

Go to the GMC dealer, based on posting on these boards and other forums you can do better. Some postings report purchasing GMCs between $1-2K under invoice.

No-haggle equals no good deals.

Outlook pricing by dds57

After much research and many test drives of Pilots, Highlanders, Cx9, Odysseys & Sienna we've decided the Outlook is our choice for our growing family.

I haven't seen many on the road( Chicago Area). Anyone out there a recent purchaser and can share price paid, availabilty etc.? Would appreciate any tips. Plan to use Internet Sales.

Also, anyone familiar with details of "GM Supplier Discount".

Thank you!

Yes, I purchased a 2007 Outlook using supplier discount. It was easy to do and no price haggling--just look for available incentives/rebates so you can take advantage of those offers in addition to the supplier discount.

I loved the fact that there weren't too many on the road when I bought mine, but now that I own one, I am seeing them "everywhere" so-to-speak. I've owned several new cars in the past (including a Saturn vehicle) and I can honestly say that this is the best vehicle I've ever purchased.

Because my last car was a Saturn I wans't going to get another one--just wanted to try something different. But, after researching the new vehicles in this class, I couldn't find another that surpassed all the Outlook has to offer. I absolutely LOVE my Saturn Outlook!

Good luck to you!

Saturn - Dealer Prep Fees by derinab

I'm about to purchase a 2007 Outlook AWD XR. Does anyone know if Saturn charges dealer prep fees? I know the manufacturer charges $735 for destination but interested if / what dealerships are charging. My assumption would be if I have to pay MSRP there won't be any additional fees added on the contract.

Why on earth are you paying MSRP for last years Outlook? Any dealer will give you at least close to invoice with a little effort on you part.

Hi,
Just wanted to post my buying experience. I've been researching the Outlook since it came out and finally decided to buy one
I wanted a base Outlook XR with only the 'Trailering Pkg' as an option.

I wanted either an Ocean Mist or Silver exterior with an ebony cloth (8-Passenger) interior.

December 29, 2007 I drove to Los Angeles to make a deal on my Outlook. Was able to negotiate invoice pricing.

Purchased a 2008 Saturn Outlook XR
Silver exterior with Ebony interior
8-passenger / cloth seats.

Options:
Trailering pkg
Navigation with ‘backup camera’
Convenience Pkg (Remote start and
Power lift gate)

Price:................... MSRP......Invoice
............................. 30,190.....28,530
Opt Equip
UZR TouchScreen....2,340......2,176
Navigation

PCU (with UZR) ....... 685.......637

PDC Conv Pkg..........870.......809

V92 Trailering Pkg.....425...... 395

Destination Charge....735......735

Total with Options.....35,245.....33,282

I offered 33,200 before the $500 Discount.

Price paid: $32,700.00 before taxes.

They wanted to add $695 for ‘paint protection’, $195 for ‘pin stipes’ and $350 for “marketing fee’. I said no to all these.

I hope this helps. As you can see, some Saturn dealers are dealing.

Nice work!

Did they charge you any extra fees (doc fee, etc...)?

Hi,
Yes. TTL (Title,tax...was extra).

I am enjoying my car and hopefully I wont have any 'water leaks' as others have mentioned. As far as gas mileage, well, as long as I don't get 12 mpg as some have posted, I'll be happy. I am avering about 16 in city and 21 on the Hwy with 1,300 on the odometer.
