Final Price Expected on SLT2 AWD with Nav, Rear Entertainment, etc. by acadia2009

I'm planning on purchasing a Chicago-based Acadia this weekend. With it being end of month, and an large over supply of Acadia's in this market, I'm hearing (from a friend's father who owns a GMC dealership in downstate IN), that my final price before taxes should be "significantly" under Dealer/Factory Invoice, and could be $10K under MSRP. So for the $46,290 MSRP AWD SLT2 I test drove, I'm expecting to pay about $36,000.

Does this sound about right? Any other rules of thumb that might help me take advantage of this unprecidented market opportunity?

$10off MSRP is do able on paper, if you can get all the programs and incentives to line up, but I have found if very difficult to align all the stars and make it happen,

Let's us know how you did?

Good Luck!

You're looking at $10K to make that happen unless you find a dealer that is being closed down and wants to stay in the used car business. Good luck.

GM seems to not want to entice import buyers by technoreality

I am having great frustration getting a decent price on a 2009 Acadia SLT-2 Loaded.
All the incentives seem to be aimed at RETAINING their current customers.
Why do they have no interest in enticing an import buyer? I am not a finance or lease customer, so those incentives mean nothing to me. I want discounts, not free money from the government. Looks like GM has nothing for me. Sad, this was the first time in over 10 yrs I even am giving them consideration.

I agree, they have poor incentives for new customers.

It seems like they really do not want the business.

GM is missing a great opportunity to put a GM car in as many US homes as possible, while Americans want to support the company.

I finally pulled the trigger. 09 SLT-2, no HUD or cooled seats. Sticker was $47.5. I got them down to $600 under invoice, plus lifetime oil changes, leather treatment, and weather-proof mats for all three rows. They also gave me what I felt was $500 over fair value for my trade in. I walked out and came back the next day, so I'm pretty sure this is the best I could get. I took the 0 for 60 financing, with about $1800 trade equity the payments came out to $749.

They said that they're not getting any more until November, so they're not as willing to sell super cheap. I believed it, but maybe I'm a sucker.

FWIW, I love the vehicle, although the build quality on minor things is giving me pause............
