Been monitoring for a while so now it's my turn to post: As noted in title, '08 SLT-1 FWD Liquid Silver Metallic with Ebony Leather 2-2-3 seating Preferred Pkg Convenience Pkg Rear power liftgate heated wiper fluid 115V power outlet MSRP: $35,500 Total purchase price: $33,871 ($32,793 selling price + $1,055 sales tax + $23 tags and fees). Essentially, I was given a $500 Conquest rebate and a "preferred customer discount" of $2,707. I believe invoice was approximately $32,300. Wanted the dual sunroof but dealer did not have a FWD SLT-1 with both 2nd row captains chairs and the dual sunroof. Most vehicles on the lot were AWD, which I didn't want. (Didn't necessarily want the heated wiper fluid or power outlet either, but that is how it was equipped...). Had a nice sales experience with dealer, all-in-all (J. Koons in Tyson's Corner, VA). Please let me know if you have any reaction; good, bad or indifferent to this purchase, thanks! |

GMC is offering 0% financing for 60 months on all remaining Acadia's. First saw this on TV and verified it on PAGMCDeals.com. Has anyone purchased an 07 using this offer?

I got a quote for 2008 GMC Acadia SLE-1 FWD with 2 Captains Chairs (ABB), Remote Keyless Entry with Remote start, Ultrasonic Rear Assist (PDD) and AM/FM Radio w/In-Dash CD Changer (US8) for $29,706 + TT&L. This quote was from Ewing Plano, TX dealership and in response to a quote request from Edmunds. Is this a good price? I also noticed that they applied a $500 rebate to get to the $29,706? Is this the conquest rebate and is it 500 or a 1000? |

I am more interested in the Outlook because I prefer its looks over the Acadia. But, no one seems to be posting in the 'prices paid' area. Does this mean that people don't like the Outlook? Or is just that you can get a better deal on an Acadia? I've been reading other GMC forums and no one really has metioned any thing, except that the Outlooks aren't selling as well as the Acadia... But why? Is it just the price difference? So, I have sent requests for quotes on the Outlook all over California, and everyone is just asking MSRP. I guess that's why people rather go with the Acadia. But, I really do like the Outlook a bit more and will try to see if they come down in price since they are not selling very well.

Hi Everyone, Last week, I just got an '08 Acadia SLT-2, with Nav, DVD, sunroof, HID, Tow Package, Pearl paint, 19' wheels minus the wheel credit... I think that's it. I need to pull the actual invoice numbers from my purchase contract (not with me now) to post here so you all can confirm the deal, but my recollection is that I paid $42,250. Invoice should have been approximately $42,011 (including destination - but not including bogus advertising fees, etc) Got the deal by calling the local fleet managers (who these days are just the internet manager) of several dealers, and asked them what SLT-2's they had on their lots for immediate purchase. Pretty standard procedure for me, but a number of dealers tried to tell me invoice included their advertising fees (as much as $800/vehicle) and a couple other smaller charges. Edmunds has the accurate data, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Finally got my deal (essentially $250 over Edmund's invoice) and they still gave me the $500 GM conquest discount. Pretty cool. Good luck out there! I would love to hear from someone who has installed aftermarket lock pick and/or bluetooth in an Acadia/Outlook/Buick-Egg

They just hand you a pricing sheet when you walk in. They claim that's why their prices are lower (no negotiating). The only thing they negotiate is on a trade-in. Good luck, man.

I can get the GSM pricing for Buick and GM from their web page...for Saturn it says contact dealer for pricing details...so, I guess you get some discount but it is not published. I don't think the Outlook has any price advantage over the Acadia with the same equipment...the base Outlook has a little less equipment standard than the Acadia so when you add that to the base Outlook, the pricing is about the same. Acadia might even be less if you can get a discount off MSRP and Saturn does not discount. |

Replying to: jdsci (Nov 26, 2007 12:05 pm) Congrats on your purchase jdsci I am responding to your question about Bluetooth: I am not sure if the Motorola DC800 Gateway will fit your requirements, but using this adapter, the A/C outlet and the rear aux input, I can play music via bluetooth & the Acadia's Bose system from my Samsung Sync phone. No permenant installation required - do it yourself. And it is cheap. I spent hours trying to find a DC-powered alternative, but this was in August 2007 when I did the research, there might be something better out there today, at least I know this works. I use it almost daily except on very short trips. You might look at this product and think that looks like it is for a home stereo only, but by using the A/C outlet included with the Acadia's rear entertainment system, it works fine. The DC800 only runs on AC power. For me it was the coolest addition I could have made to the Acadia. I plugged in the unit and threw it in the console running the wires between the console and the driver's seat, the wires are barely visible (much cleaner than having a cable dangling from the dashboard input). Next, I paired my phone with the DC800 this was a little tricky because you have to tell your bluetooth player to start playing music via bluetooth before it will look for bluetooth headsets. It found the DC800 (I think you also have to push the button on the front of the DC800 to make it visible). Anyway since the first pairing, my phone finds it automatically and plays the music no problem. I have combined this setup with the Rhapsody to Go music service. Since the Samsung Sync phone is compatible with the "Plays for Sure" subscription music standard, I can pick and choose from over 4,000,000 songs to transfer to and play from my phone for $14.99/month. Non of that $.99/song BS. If your an IPOD user, you might need something like this. IPOD Bluetooth adapter I love to demonstrate it, standing at the rear of the Acadia, I use the rear audio controls to switch to the Rear Aux Input source, set my phone to play through the Bluetooth and crank up the volume. Most people just scratch their heads and say: "I've never seen anything like that before, but it sure does sound good". You should know that this solution does not provide any Bluetooth telephone capability, it only acts as a Bluetooth headset (for playing music through the Acadia's stereo). When I get a call, I still have to answer and talk through the phone. But you do hear the phone ring through the Acadia's stereo. Others should note that this solution requires that you purchased the DVD rear entertainment system with your Acadia. Hope this helps & Good Luck
