I have 2004 HCH with about 13,500 miles on it. Until a few months ago, my IMA battery gauge would usually register near full. Since the cold weather has started, it has been hovering more consitently around the half-full mark, though performance doesn't seem to be impacted. But this is the first winter this occurred. Of course, I'm nearing the end of the 3 year warranty, so I want to figure out if this is something I need to address. Anyone else have a similar problem?

hi there i think hondas have a guarantee on the battery for 8 years or (80000 miles ) so i dont think you have to worry about your 3 year warranty running out. short running time will effect the battery as it dont get time to recharge longer cruise time will give more time to recharge the cold will effect the battery a little but regular use will keep battery topped up ok. all types of battery lose charge over time in the cold at an average of 2% so this is about normal |
