Hello everyone, I new to this site but really hoping to get some useful information. I have a 1989 Mercedes 300E that is really working my nerve lately I've been having to monitor the trans fluid because I'd been filling that every week or so. When I took it to the trans shop the mechanic put the car up on the rack and told me the reason the car was using so much fluid was because there was a leak around the modulator and the governor. Could the noise be related to the leaks? Could the leaks be associated with loose bolts/gaskets? And would adjusting my kickdown cable make any difference?

Or type your question in the "Ask the Community" box on the right side of this page. |
